Peery, G. Jones, I. Streit, B. Ienkines, B, Anderson, R, Betts, R. Cowley, S. McManus, R. Talbert, B. Osborne, K. Johnson, and W. Vest. Key Club attempts to bring out talents of high school leaders as it serves the school and community. To be eligible for membership, boys must attain an 85 average or above. They are then voted on by members, with a limited class percentage being allowed to enter each year. Since the Key Club is primarily a service organization, civic leaders often turn to it when in need of help for local projects, such as the local March of Dimes Bucket Brigade. Along with the Kiwanis Club, the Key Club sponsored Pancake Day this year. The profits were used to finance a S200 scholarship presented to a deserving WHS student as well as various other projects. 38 55 Key Club officers for 1965-66 are Johnny Weber, treasurerg Steve Peery, secretaryg Waverly Vest, presidentg and Bobby Ienkines, vice- president.

Y-Teens is a service organiza- tion on the Weslaco High School campus for girls. The group works toward service to the community as well as the school, Y-Teen mem- bers stood on street corners in un- reasonably cold 37 O 'weather several days collecting for the Bucket Bri- gade, a phase of the March of Dimes, Members of Y-Teens dis- tributed programs during the Pigskin Jubilee, a Region 15 Interscholastic League competition and for the Weslaco Queerfs Contest, part ofthe city-sponsored Fiesta de Armistad. Y-Teen girls also worked in booths at the annual Halloween Carnival, a P,T,A,-sponsored activity. During Thanksgiving the club members donated a box of food to give to a needy family, Y-Teen girls can be seen at almost any school -and civic- sponsored function, Y-Teen officers are fleft t0 right?
