gcwnmencamenlf 19 66 it ,-,--- 1 11 l A The Class of 1966, Barbee Field, May 27 Climaxing four years of achievement, members of the Class of 1966 assembled May 27 at 8 p.m. at Barbee Field for outdoor commencement exercises. Some 160 seniors received diplomas presented by Superintendent Jack A. Frost after formal certification of the class by Principal Howard Murchison Ir. Gerald Streit gave the valedictory, Esteban Salinas the salutatory, and Frances Cain, the address for thehigh ranking girl. William Anderson, class president, gave the invocation, and Andy McMullen, Student Senate president, pronounced the benediction. Honor graduates Qpictured elsewherej were recognized, as were students receiving scholarships to various colleges and universities. Senior choir members sang You'll Never Walk Alone' and Graduation Day , the high school band played the processional and recessional, and just before they left the field, all the class members sang the school song, The Spirit of Weslaco High.
