Cadets ore taught tha theoretical aspects of the basic military subjects through formal dasuooin type instruction. During tl-o fall and spr nq c ' each lekod year tlw cadet corps participates in a field t aining pro- gr«n during the drill period. Initially, stress is placed on pro- ficienicy of the indlviduni in such subjects as first aid, physical fitness and Individual combat training. Later through instructton !n combat fofmation, battle drill, patrolling and bivouac training. During the spring this training is culminated when the cadet corps participates in a field exercise which includes a tactical march and overnight bivouac.
