Wentworth has been under the direct supervisien of the War Dapartmant of the United States 6ovemmeflt since 1695. wKen the first active army officer was detailed to the Academy. Now 3 officefs, 4 non-commissioned officers and orte civilian assistant are in charge of military initruction. In addition, the War Depart- ment furnishes around $50,000 worth of equipment to be used for instruction purposes. WentTAcrth is one of the original Honor $ch oo{9 of the United States, the highest rating given by the War tJapartmant.
