To attain this high purpoia, the Academy places greatest eTiphesis ufson these four points: First, it it the Academy ' s aim to assemble only the highest types of students — desefving youths of good parentage — to assure wholescm© associations and greater progrets. Every pre- caution i» taken to lieep undesirable boys — all those that might prove detrimental to other — out of the Academy, Second, to empioy only men of highest character and ability for its faculty. It is not enough •for a Wentvvorth faculty member to be moraly a scholar and a splendid Imtructor. He mint also possess a spirit of friendliness and a sincere desire to give Vindly Help whenever necessary. He must thoroughly understand the innermost problems of boys — be patient with then -Hjnd bo ready to serve each bov to the best of his ability. Third, to provide the vory best equipment throughout every department to the end that every boy will have all thoM thinas necessary to his hoa ' th and happiness and that none shall want for anything that will help him to make progress. For nearly three-score years, Colonel Sondford Sellers was president of Wentworth. He enjoyed one The Acedemy was founded by Stephen G. Wentwerth. scion of o diitiaguished English famity and a prominent Lexington banker, in 1880, as a memorial to his deceased son, Williern Wentworth. Mr. Wentworth immediately vested control of the institution in the hands of a board of frustoei compoced of a duly e l e c ted representative of each of the Evangelical churches of Lexington, and a president.
