FOREWORD If you were to take time to count them you would find there are seven hundred and twenty-two second year men listed in this book. The class of 1965 is the largest class to graduate from Wentworth Institute. Appropriately enough, we think that this class has produced the best T EKTON ever published. We came from far and near, we have varying economic and social backgrounds, we represent many social strainsg We may differ as to religion, intellectual capacity, and philosophy of life, we are unlike in our preferences as to foods, hobbies and recreation. We have, in one sense, been divided into groups because each of us chose one of fourteen different cur- ricula to pursue. But in a very real sense we are one. We are the Wentworth Institute Class of 1965. No one else can take our placeg no one else can assume our responsibilities. We are about to separate, we may say that We are leaving Wentworth Institute. But as we join the larger group, the W. I. Alumni, we are becoming a part of it. For in the last analysis a schoo1's alumni is the school. Curricula and faculties and even campuses may change, but there's something stable and lasting about a vast body of alumni. They are themost real, the most permanent, and in some ways the most impor- tant element of any school. As we go our various ways into industrial, engineering, technological or other types of work, or even ,into further education, may this yearbook be a pleasant link that binds us to one another and to our Alma Mater. 2
