CHRISTMAS P RTY On November 6, 1964, the Christmas Party Committee of the Student Council set out to raise nearly three thousand dollars for the purchase of gym equipment and a Christmas Party for the Salvation Army's South Boys' Club. The two month-long cam- paign began with a special appeal made to the student body during the November student convocations. A chart was made and posted in the main lobby to show section percent participa- tion based on 151.50 per man. It was then announced to the student body that free dates to the Christmas Dance would be awarded to the top sections in percent participation as of December 9, 1964. A total of seven dates were given away: the winners were AT-2B, three dates, BC-1B, two dates, BC-2C, one date, and MET-1, one date. The Christmas Party was held on December 16, 1964, at the South End Boys' Club. The party got under way with a selection of Christmas Carols. The next event was a complete gym show and demonstration of the new equipment by star gymnasts from Braintree High School, Framingham North High School, and Wakeield High School. Was the Christmas Party a success? The success of the Christmas Party may be described by only one word-phenomenal. For never in the seven year history of the Christmas Party Fund has the student body rallied more enthusiastically for a more Worthwhile cause,
