Thorn, '38, Kenneth H. Clark, THE ALUMNI Loyal Service is To you, the Class of 1965, we extend the hand of brotherhood, fraternity, and comradeship. We are proud to welcome you into the Wentworth family. Your association with the men who have preceded you into the Wentworth family is a rich endowment for the future of our Alma Mater and her Alumni body. The Wentworth Institute Alumni Association is dedicated to furthering the interests of Wentworth Institute and promoting the welfare of her Alumni. It is composed of graduates, former students, faculty members, and individuals who are interested in Went- worth Institute and the men who have studied here. The Alumni Association was first organized in 1913 and incorporated in 1926. In the fall of 1956 the Alumni Office was established on a permanent basis and staffed with a full-time Alumni Secretary and one assistant. It is the duty of the Alumni Secretary to provide for, promote, and co-ordinate the activities of the Alumni of Wentworth Institute. The Class-because of the intimate association of its members in the classroom, on the athletic field, in activity clubs, during social hours, and through the many other contacts made over the period of two years-is a natural, essential, and continuously effec- tive association within the alumni structure. The Class of 1965 should have, at all times, a '58g Salvatore DeFazio, '29g William J. Daddell, '39g Michael A. Colwell, '64. NOT PRESENT: Director: Bertrand M. Dupill, '49g Leo I. Conlon, '54g Francis X. Fields, 55g Robert M. Imrie, '38g Floyd H. Peterson, '37, Albert J. Wall, '30, ASSOCIATIO the Greatest Gift President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. In addition, each section, such as ABT, MPE, or BC, should have one council member for every five to eight men in that section. The officers, together with the council members, comprise the governing body of the class. Every member of the Class should make a deter- mined effort to return at regular intervals and renew his association with his fellow alumni and his Alma Mater. This may be done each year at the Annual Re- union Dinner. Your first reunion will be in 1966, your fifth Anniversary Reunion in 1970, tenth in 1975, fifteenth in 1980, twentieth in 1985, twenty- fifth in 1990, etc. Another facet of Alumni activities is Alumni Clubs. These are being organized in various com- munities throughout the country. They will provide an opportunity for social meetings as well as promote fellowship among alumni in a specific geographic area. Do not hesitate to take advantage of the bene- fits derived from being active in your local club. To fully enjoy the reciprocal benefits, an alumnus must be active. An active alumnus is one who not only contributes his time and energy, but also, by means of a financial contribution to the Alumni Fund, expresses his loyalty to his fellow alumni and his Alma Mater.
