ARTICLE I To the Faculty: Mr. Hunter: We leave our appreciation for his understanding our problems. Mrs. Rankin: A Senior Class that makes good grades. Mr. Smith: A serious Sociology class. Mrs. Wright: A typing class that will come in and get to work. Mr. Butler: AChemistry class that will not break all his test tubes. Miss Yates: A glee club that will sing something other than rounds. Mrs. Wilkerson: A more co-operative group of escorts for the beauty pageant. Mr. Meador: A smaller printing class. Mrs. Martin: A library class that will do duties quietly. Mr. Phillips: A team that will get home before 12:00. Mr. Sharpe: A class that is willing to clean the shop without fussing. ARTICLE II To the undergraduates: To the Juniors, we leave our loyalty to Mrs. Rankin. To the Sophomores, we leave two more years of study and fun. To the Freshmen, we leave a hard time. Q laoo roplsecy On a hot humid day in 1970, I happened to be at an auto race, and to my surprise KATHRYN PAIGE was driving a racer. After the race, she came over and was talking to me about the good old times at W.H. S. She said that HAZEL SMITH is a private secretary for McCann's Mink Ranch. ANN BENNETT is a successful Lab Technician at Tri-City Hos- pital. DOUGLAS TAYLOR is taking Mr. Butler's place as Chemistry teacher atW.H.S. LUCILLE CARTER and FRANCES SCOTT are planning to make their first flight to the moon in a homemade rocket ship. FAYE CARTER is telephone operator at Reidsville. ARCHIE ROBERTS is now a building contractor. GLENDA RAKESTRAW has finally settled down to a quiet and peaceful life with her husband. KENNON ROBERSON is pastor of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. MARY LEA MOORE is now a physical therapist. FREDDIE RATLIFF is now coaching at State. EVELYN HAMLETT is under con- tract with the Big Top Circus. JOE PURGASON owns a clothing store in Reidsville. KAYE PATTERSON and CAROLYN POWELL have recently opened their own beauty shops. NELSON MOORE is now head curb hop at Big Oal-cs. DOROTHY HUTCHENS is holding concerts in Carnegie Hall. DONALD MILLER is teaching Art at State. ELMER KING is owner of a saw mill. KENNETH JULIAN is owner of Big Oaks. GAYLE EARLES is married to Earnest and settled down to raising a family. ROBERT HARRELL is a truck driver for McLean's. CINDY WINIBISH, of course, is married to jimmy--very happily- BILL GLASS is t66lCl'1iH9 at W.H.S. WAYNE GIBSON is working very hard to be a Doctor. LINDA VADENiS coach of the girls' team at W. I-I.S. JOHNNY CROWDER is superintendent of an insane asylum. MARY GRAY CAUDLE is still playing the field, looking for a millionaire. BRENDA BAILEY has disappeared. CAROL SLAUGHTER is a nurse in New Mexico. Before I knew it, the time had passed by and Kathryn had to leave.
