Through the efforts of Mrs. Edna Cobb, the faculty advisor and head of the Commercial Department, the Future Business Leaders of America chapter was formed. Thus, FBLA became the second national club in our school. The purposes of FBLA are to develop competent, aggressive business leadership, to develop character, train for useful citizenship, and foster patriotismg to strengthen the confidence of young men and women in themselves and their work, to encourage members in the development of individual projectsg to create more interest in choice of business occupations: and to encourage and practice thrift. FBLA has been one of the most active clubs. Members have gathered information first handi' by visiting the telephone offices, post office, banks, insurance firms and other business places.
