We d1d have a jolly reun1on She was to make her debut at the C1v1c Opera House and msrsted upon our staytng over We consented and secured box seats on the hrst balcony and were able to see many d1st1ngu1shed celebr1t1es Among those present were Alpha Wad l1ngton now starnng 1n a colossal mus1cal comedy on Broadway Boulden the tamed art1st was squrrmg h1s two best models shapely Beatrrce Blocker and Clesther Gaston How lovely they looked but 1f you w1ll re member they were always easy on the eyes V1rg1n1a Mart1n Fashlon Edltor of the Ph1ladelph1a Star arr1ved 1n the latest fad To our del1ght Lynns debut was a thnlhng success and the road to fame has just opened before her We w1shed her luck and left 1mmed1ately v1a bus for Pennsy1van1a Whmle ndrng through Pennsylvama we chanced upon the qua1ntest lrttle town known as Eutopan1a We had a three hour stop over so be1ng 1nqu1s1t1ve we dec1ded to 1nvest1gate as 1t m1ght prove benef1c1al To our surpnse we saw Chfford Hopps the Chrei of Pollce 1nspect1ng h1s force Wh1Ch 1ncluded Iames Paschal Ioseph W1ll1ams Steve W1II1GmS and Iames Hunt Qu1te a force dont you thunk? Clrfford took It upon htmself to escort us over h1s channmg c1ty whlch seemed to be tull of Ph1ll1ps1tes The towns lead1ng c1t1zen the banker was none other than Frank Barron wrth Arnett Holmes as h1s able asslstant The 1nhab1t ants surely had fa1th dont you thmk? There ahead of us on the corner was a beaut1tul church When we 1nqu1red about rt we were happy to learn that Theodore Rrchardson had ach1eved h1s l1fe long am b1t1on and was now clergyman 1n th1s farr Clly Wllh such outstand1ng geruus there IS reason for such a thr1v1ng town It must have been street clean1ng day for whom drd we see busy about hlS task as Jolly as ever but Malcolm Dcngre lust as we greeted h1m a da1ry truck whtzzed by whlch read McCl1ntons Dany Could that have been Fred? You can bet your boots lt was Gorng 1nto the res1dent1al sectton we saw many attracttve homes We passed a lovely whrte cottage wrth a tul1p garden and wh1le we were admmng rt the charm1ng owner came 1nto the yard To our sur pr1se It was none other than Yvonne Mart1n the gla mour g1rl We chatted for a wh1le and learned that Florence now a Temple Iacquel1ne Bell a school teacher and LOUISG Clemmons a dramat1c star l1ved 1n the same ne1ghborhood Due to the t1me we were unable to stay longer But lmCq1n6 th1s the1r mayor was a woman and guess who Amanda Iones who served such a splend1d term dunng our last year of school We d1d so regret to leave th1s town but w1th a sad Aloha we departed though our greatest a1m 1S to v1s1t Eutopan1a agam Resummg our places on the bus we sped along the h1ghway toward Wash1ngton We stopped 1n Alexandr1a to v1s1t Roland Stewart We had lunch at the Colonxal Club Here we met the reporter of the famous Tlt Tat column 1n the New York T1meS Iohnetta Felton She told us of the play Naomr Hale has wntten whxch 1S to co star Vlola Cross and Isaac ' ' ll I II I I I I . -I u - .
