IANUARY CLASS PRCDPHECY I, Style! ew Lrsten my chrldren and you shall hear Of a dream I recently had thrs year Look my chrldren and you shall see How wonderful your future IS to be Last mght as I lay ponder1ng over what the future held 1n store for the Ph1ll1ps class of Ianuary 41 feel1ng of drows1ness crept over me and I fell 1nto a deep slumber It seemed as though I slept as many years as R1p Van Wmkle for when I awakened I had aged conszderably and I was rn an entmrely d1fferent envrronment Oh' what a lovely garden I was stand 1ng 1n and there was the most beautrful creature beckonmg me to follow her' As we walked we sud denly came 1nto a changed world Cno wonder 1t s 19612 and behold' there were all my schoolmates of yester year fulf1ll1ng the1r respectlve places 1n l1fe The frrst thrng to catch my attentlon was an elab orate cloth1ng shop w1th a srgn Luke Keel and Co I dec1ded to go tn and look around and as I stepped 1n the door I was greeted by Pnnce Rrley who wanted to know 1f I would l1ke to glance over the latest gowns Before I could answer he had rushed me 1nto a room full of lovely dresses Among many mannequ1ns were and that dazzhng beauty Edna Banks The d1st1n gulshed artlsts Conrad Cochran and Allen Iohnson were srttmg along the s1de l1nes sketchmg the gown to be sent to the Glenglo newspaper of wh1ch Glendts Hambr1ck IS the edrtor I walked 1nto the next room where the models were bemg prettled up Matt1e Iones was gxvrng them fac1al massages whlle Ros1e Chappell manicured na1ls Alveder Moody apphed make up and Geraldlne Reeder curled ha1r The next room I entered was the general offrce where there were many stenographers engaged 1n vanous tasks At typewnters were Mary Sams M11 dred Lee Emma Thomas and Helen Wh1te Deval lane Weary Chnstrne Warr and Mary McClung were busy f1l1ng Can you 1mag1ne Charlotte Brown and Emma Steele takmg d1ctat1on at 150 words a m1nute'?
