T Senior Class History The last three years have been busy ones for the class of '57, As Sophomores, the class elected Presi- dent Wes Craven, Vice President Marilyn Iessup, Secretary Barbara Emry, and Treasurer Dave Ram- sey, to lead them through their first semester of high school life. President Carlton Olson, Vice President lim Finkbeiner, Secretary Ianice Chase, and Treas- urer Pat Drew were chosen as Spring semester class officers. Under their guidance a skit, a take-off on Iulius Caesar, was presented in the competitive as- sembly. During the Iunior year Student Control, which put a Student Advisory Board in charge of handling many discipline problems, was put into effect. The first semester officers were lim Finkbeiner-Presb dent, Vice President Pat Drew, Secretary Marilyn Iessup, and Treasurer Bob Ajax. Under the leader- ship of the second semester officers, the annual lun- ior Prom was staged. The Prom, based on a Mardi Gras theme, was entitled Blues in the Night. The second semester Iunior class officers were President Dave Deal, Vice President Dannie Keith, Secretary Bonnie Mattig, and Treasurer Gary Watkinson. ln order to meet the Student Body budget, the purchase of a Student Activity Ticket was made compulsory for the first time in Wenatchee High School's history. President Dannie Keith, Vice Presi- dent Marilyn Iessup, Secretary Sandra Sloane, and Treasurer Ralph Graves were elected in the fall as class officers. Under their leadership, Senior an- nouncements were chosen. The last officers of the class of '57 were President Wes Craven, Vice Presi- dent Tom Bousquet, Secretary Delores Cannon, and Treasurer Leon Kent. They led the Seniors in mak- ing plans for Senior Tacky Day and Graduation. Q? -g-., Queen Beverly West and her attendants Dorothy Shadbolt, Sandra Gillette, Iudy Wayerski, and Becky Brennan reigned over the homecoming festiv- ities. Sandra Gillette was presented the DAR award and Ann McDowell was awarded the Homemaker of To- morrow award. Co-chairmen Wes Craven and Marilyn Iessup, up- per right, worked hard to make the United Fund Drive a success. Queen Iewel Brumbaugh and princesses Sandra Gillette and Marilyn Dalvit were selected as the Royal Three for the 38th annual Washington State Apple Blossom Festival from the top twenty-five sen- ior girls pictured upper left. Absent from the pic- ture were Bonnie Mattig and Ioan Snitily. The class counselors, Mr. Donaldson and Mrs. Monroe have been very helpful in taking care of scheduling difficulties and other problems that arise in planning projects.
