The WHS slatmen walked off with every event in the State High School Invitational Four-way meet at Squilchuck and Leavenworth to trounce runner-up Bellevue High and 6 other schools by over 30 points. They easily paced the field in the Seattle All-City entering as a quest team, and climaxed their season by winning the International High School meet at Rossland, B .C . over I8 schools from Washington, l- daho, Montana, and British Columbia. The Panther skiers, who were edged out by .4 of a point last year won the Rossland meet by a I6 point margin--largest in the history of the meet. WHS placed sixth in the Beta Cup Giant Slalom at Stevens Pass, when Capt. Frank Cammack and Herb Thomas were away at the National Junior Jumping and Cross-Country Championships at Duluth, Min- nesota. Cammack was second in the combined and Thomas fourth at the nationals. Both boys furnished first and second in teh four- way standings of every meet entered and are two of the nations outstanding all-round Junior skiers.
