Ma. Shaw 3:10 3:20 3:25 3:30 3:35 3:40 3:50 4:00 4:10 HANDS AT WORK Visited the stage at Memorial Park. Boys from our art, wood shop, and mechanical classes at work getting ready for the festival. Visited room 220. Hall outside and both rooms of the art suite busy with hands at work. Trotted down hall to room 208. More hands at work putting finishing touches on costumes for pageant. Stopped off at room 202. Electricians with hands at work get- ting the public address system ready for use at the park. Room 211. Typists putting out more copies of correct script for pageant. Their hands do work. School out for the day, but hands are still working, doing things, making things, changing things--hands directed by trained minds to Work with materials and produce the desired results. Out on the field for a few minutes. Boys at play: active bodies, jumping, running, throwing, swinging a racket- hands at work, building skills and controls. Baseball-more hands, feet, heads, all at workp archery, riflery,- brains again directing hands at work. Drum and bugle girls march by. Co-ordination, sprit, drive- doesn't it give all of us a feeling of satisfaction to see hands at work, directed toward completion of a specific job by minds trained for the job and convinced of the value of the job being done?
