MARCH OF TIME AUGUST 27. School opens. The Freshmen are really happy to be in High School at last. Seniors are anxious to start initiation. Added to the High School faculty is Mrs. Gladys Knox. SEPTEMBER 4. Baseball game at Calamus. SEPTEMBER 10. Seniors meet to draft plans -for Initiation. The Initiation will run through the entire day of September 13. The Freshmen have been bowing every time they meet a Senior this last week. More fun! SEPTEMBER 12. Calamus plays baseball here. SEPTEMBER 13. Initiation! Freshmen came dressed according to rules. The girls came dressed inxdd fashioned clothes and the boys dressed as up-to- date girls. They all carried their books to and from classes in bushel baskets. At night a party was given in their honor. After a program, games were played and refreshments were served by the Senior Class. There was also a baseball game with Grand Mound here. SEPTEMBER 17. Baseball game at Elwood. SEPTEMBER 19. Skating Party at Davenport Prom. Everyone had a good time trying to stand up. One bus and a few cars went for transportation. L. A Glimpse Into the Future . I have a little secret which I shall new reveal to the readers of the Weltenian of 19464 While enroute from Welton to New York last summer on my vacation, I met a strange man who in- terested me very much. As I bee-me acouainted with him I learned that he was an Assyrian man and could fersee the future thru a crystal. I asked him to tell where the seniors of 1946 would be ten years from new and these are the revelations that I iotted down as he told them to me. We shall see Phyllis Schrader starring' on broadway in the play, HThe Super Weman.n Vircil Jacobsen will be a snake charmer at the World's Fair in Les Ancles. I'll advise you to visit Mrs. MacAvan Cformer- ly Evelyn Barker? about Thanksgiving time, for she will be the wife of a creat and mighty cranberry merchant in India- Leonard Dunlavey will be the efficient and glamorous ambulance driver of the new hospital of De Witt, Iowa- Deris Galloway will be on her honeymoon trip around the world, her husband Veins the son of Governor Stasson. Arlene Desland will be the wife of Donxwulf and will live on a farm some where around Grand Hound, raising little wolves. g The second Frank Sinatra QDonald Mattkel will appear at the famous Stork Club in New York City.
