MARCH OF TIME AUGUST 27. School opens. The Freshmen are really happy to be in High School at last. Seniors are anxious to start initiation. Added to the High School faculty is Mrs. Gladys Knox. SEPTEMBER 4. Baseball game at Calamus. SEPTEMBER 10. Seniors meet to draft plans -for Initiation. The Initiation will run through the entire day of September 13. The Freshmen have been bowing every time they meet a Senior this last week. More fun! SEPTEMBER 12. Calamus plays baseball here. SEPTEMBER 13. Initiation! Freshmen came dressed according to rules. The girls came dressed inxdd fashioned clothes and the boys dressed as up-to- date girls. They all carried their books to and from classes in bushel baskets. At night a party was given in their honor. After a program, games were played and refreshments were served by the Senior Class. There was also a baseball game with Grand Mound here. SEPTEMBER 17. Baseball game at Elwood. SEPTEMBER 19. Skating Party at Davenport Prom. Everyone had a good time trying to stand up. One bus and a few cars went for transportation. L. Dunlavey received a ticket from the police, and not to the Skating Party. SEPTEMBER 21. Baseball game at Delmar. SEPTEMBER 28. Baseball game at Grand Mound. OCTOBER 4. The Seniors went to Davenport to have their pictures taken. Dunlavey and Mattke went WOLFING, some went to the show, and others went to the PI'Om.o OCTOBER 8. Baseball game with Elwood here. NOVEMBER 9. Basketball begins. First games with Le Clair there. NOVEMBER 13. The Alumni games were here. It was really a battle. NOVEMBER l6. Basketball games at Charlotte. NOVEMBER 20. Basketball game with Goose Lake here. NOVEMBER 22. No school as everybody was busy eat4 ing Thanksgiving dinner. NOVEMBER 23. Carnivali Big event of the year. There was e profit of Sl26.45.
