In gratitude, the 1958-59 Senior Class dedicates this annual to lVlr. Royd J. Hodge. His unceasing work and jolly personality have made him a favorite of all the students. Mr. Hodge, our math instructor, is also the sponsor of the Pep Club and Boys, Intramurals. During the summer, Mr. Hodge heads our recreational program, which consists of the Babe Ruth League and the Little League. His interest in students and student activities have made him an outstanding teacher. In recognition of all his efforts, we, the Seriior Class, are proud to dedicate this year's annual to Mr. Royd J. Hodge.
7762. Wdkwn , Scion! Puizcdpal Mr. Menough began his teaching career at Mac- Donald School in 1936, where he taught until joining the Army in 194-3. In 19-15 he returned to teach Social Business in the high school for five years. In 1950 he became principal of MacDonald School and two years later became principal of the High School. As high school principal, Mr. Menough has been an able and efficient administrator. His fine sense of humor and ability for organization has effectively handled the problems that have arisen during the school years. Mr. Menough is a graduate of Wellsville High School, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wes- leyan University in 1934, and his Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1941. L Dfa. Saacvwl Z. Daw S ' of 5444064 Dr. Daw first taught at rural schools, and soon be- came principal of the Muskingam County Village Schools. He has also been Superintendent of Wellsville Schools since 1922. Under his skillful guidance, the new MacDonald Elementary School and the Daw ,lun- ior, which was named after him, were built. Dr. Daw received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Muskingam College, his Master of Arts Degree from the University of Chicago, and his Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is co- author of an elementary spelling book, My Spellerf, and is the author of a series of readers, 'The Success- ful Living Seriesf' The Wellsville Schools are fortu- nate in having such an outstanding educator as head of its school system.
