SECOND ROW: Wayne Porter, Franklin Jackson, Esther Daniels, Jerry Stone, Emmie Harris, Leonard Johnson. 71 The Harmoneers under the sponsorship and direction of Mrs. Welch have sung for several events both in and out of school. A few of the places at which the group have performed are The First Baptist Church, The Methodist Church and several school functions. Future plans include chapel services. assemblies, and the senior class play. The Harmoneers are comprised of six girls and six boys. One of the newest vocal groups to emerge on the musi- cal scene this year is a group of girls who call themselves the Tenettes.'7 The group is comprised of ten girls and sings at various functions throughout the year. Zami After Hpackingn the marching band, W.H.S. unveiled its concert band. Shortly after football season ended, the band began preparing for the Christmas Festival which is its first concert performance of the year. The band plans to perform at the annual Spring Festival, class day, and commencement. Among the band projects were its annual magazine and candy sales. Proceeds from these drives will be used for new instruments, repairs, and a planned trip to Washington, D. C. 70.745, ' Our high-stepping Marching Majorettes under the leadership of Sandra DeJane, head majorette, Sheila Beohm, captain, and Darlene Morgan, co-captain, have marched smartly in front of the hand at parades and at half-time ceremonies during football season. The Wellsville High School Chorus under the di- rection of Mrs. Louise Lawton is comprised of 28 girls and 4 boys. To date, the chorus has sung in the Christmas Festival. Plans for the future include the Spring Festival, Class Day, and Baccalaureate. Judging from how earnestly they sing at their per- formances, we know that the chorus students really enjoy singing.
