Asfa -' gm The Key Club is a boys, club that serves both the school and connnunhy. 'The rnendmxs are chosen by their gradeg citizenship and leadership. The objects of the club are to develop initiative and leadership, to provide experience in hving and xvorking togethen to serve the school and conr munity, to co-operate with the school principal, to prepare for useful citizenship, to accept and promote the good ideals of life. The club has parucipated in such acdvides as sponsoring the Homecoming, decorating the tree in the main lobby at Christmastime, and sponsoring a spaghetti dinner at the American Legion hall. The club is planning to enhance the appearance of our school by fdandng shrubbery around it The Kiwanis Club of Wellsville is the sponsor of the club and Mr. Wilfing is the faculty sponsor. When the club was first organized in Wellsville High the group was known as the Girl Reserves, and still uses the letters of that title to describe a true Y-Teen. Mrs. Estelle Elton and Miss Mahala Ingram have sponsored the club for quite sometime. One of the activities conducted by the Y-Teens is the Sweetheart Dance. Meetings are held on alternate Monday evenings in the visual education room.
