ruture Teachers Learn by Doing The local chapter of Future Teachers of America provides its members with ample opportunity to dis- cover if their talents will best suit them tor careers in the teaching profession. Each member was called upon often during the year to take over actual classes and conduct them as well as possible, even it little time for preparation was given. Those interested in elementary work were placed in elementary class- rooms,-usually when no qualified teacher substitute was available, and our people were praised by principals and teachers for their good work. Social high points are the spring cover-dish when college friends are guests, and the installation dinner near the close of the school year. Miss Irwin is chapter sponsor.
