Miss Hine organized this elub in the fall of 15143, and it has been going strong ever since. The club was set up on this basis: A board of girls was c-hosen by Miss Iline to write 21 constitution for the club. HIC GLEE CLUB has been practicing for sometime for the Spring Concert to be held the 13th and 20th of April in Iflast Liverpool and Steubenville. The par- ticipants will be choral societies from the various schools, including East Liverpool Midland, Steubenville, and XVelIsviIle. The purpose of this concert is to build up an interest in choral music throughout the valley. About fifty or sixty voices will participate in the Wellsville selections. The mass group will be under the direction of Dr. Strickland, Director of the Cleveland City Massed Choral Society. Sonic of the songs which will be ren- dered by the Wellsville Society are: Battle Ilymn of the Republic arranged by Waring. 1'zechoslovakian Dance Song annony- mous, Set Down Servant arranged by Waring. My llonnie Lass She Sn1iIeth by Bottomley, This is my Country arranged by Waring, The Rosary by Nevin, Swiss Skiing Song by Krone, Go Down Moses by Cain. Lo, A Voice to Ileaven Sounding by Iiortniansky, and Deep River Negro spiritual. Many new selections have been pur- chased for the Freshman and Senior Glee Clubs. For the Senior liacculaureate, the Mixed Chorus is rehearsing two numbers: Battle Ilymn of the Republic arranged by Waring and The Rosary by Nevin. Mr. Mason has directed the Glee Club this year because of the vacancy of a Glee Club director. Ile has proven successful and we want to thank hin1 for all that he has done.
