THE OWL — 1928 27 The Sophomore Class President . Major Lampman Vice President ... Lowell Button Secretary ... Betty Hyde Treasurer .. Saxone Ward It is indeed difficult to attempt to put into print the annals of the sophomore class of 1928, for everyone will agree that this is the greatest organization in Wells- ville High School. Even the Sophs themselves modestly ( ?) acclaim the fact. The class is very well represented in all the activities, athletic and social, and the monthly honor roll contains many of its members’ names. It has several men on the football and baseball teams and a few of the girls are out for track. It has spon¬ sored an exceptionally fine class day program in Assembly and held an unusually suc¬ cessful party. It is represented in the Junior Dramatic Club and some of its members have greatly aided in presenting several plays. In fact the Sophomore class is very important in school life. With such an excellent record as this, our sincerest wish is that as the Sophs con¬ tinue their quest for knowledge, they may find themselves always fitted and ready to uphold the honor of their class and of Wellsville High School. May they be the finest and most worthy class that W. H. S. has ever produced.
