School records were broken by Melissa Spencer (high jump) and Karen Evans (100 yard low hurdles). Lori Roberts went to the regional and district meets for the 100 yard dash. Kelly Baker went to Cambridge to participate in the A. A. U. track meet and qualified to participate in the state track meet. In early October they went to Huntington, West Virginia (Channel 13) and played their first game, defeating Milton, West Virginia. The players then went on to participate in the Bob-Cat Buzz-In, winning ‘‘Grand Champion”, defeating four other teams.
