“SENIOR C ASS WILL we, the Senior Class of 1956, of the City of Wellsburg, Grundy County, and the State of Iowa, in reasonably full possession of sound body and sensible mind, are now ready to depart from Wellsburg High We do hereby make our last will and testament To the Juniors, we leave the fun of having pictures taken, of being Banquet guests, of giving the Senior Class Play and finally, the long awaited Skip Day The big thrill of picking class r1ngs,the work involved in giving the Banquet, and the fun in presenting the Class Play, we leave to the Sophomores To the Freshmen,we leave three years of work and fun in Wellsburg High We wish them much luck ln bringing athletic and music honors to the school we would like to pass the following personal belongings on I, Thelma Asher,do hereby will and bequeath my ability to do some studying to anyone who wouldn't think of doing such a thing and my long hair to Beverly Hook who is trying to let hers grow but keeps cutting it while 1t's still short I, Mardelle Bakker,do hereby will and bequeath my position on the basketball team to Mariorle Lindaman who could use the exercise, my trombone to Richard Shaffer who seems to have the wind to blow it, and my old yellow Ford to Barbara Claassen so she can get to school on time next year I Robert nBobW Bantz,do hereby will and bequeath my ability to sit ln the three o'clock study hall to anyone who can stand it that long and my ability to drive slow around town to Roger Geerdes who wouldn't think of it to get along well with Mr Rankin to Vernon Eckhoff who enters his waiting room often for reasons other than to hear of Bankin's high school days my place as accompanist to Barbara Claassen who can do much better and my noon hour job to Margaret and Jean, who I think enjoy working with the cooks as much as I do I, Edward nScotty Christians, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to be a bench warmer on the basketball team to Roger Geerdes who can do a better job of it, my baseball suit to anyone who is big enough to keep up the pants in case your belt breaks, and my ability to never study and pass to the Junior girls who are always beating their brains out trying to learn something I Ronald 'Bonnieu de Neul, do hereby will and bequeath my bass horn to Leroy Harms who seems to be the right size for it and has enough wind to blow lt, my ability to start trouble and not get blamed for it to anyone who has enough intestinal fortitude to try it, and my ability to walk flat on my flat feet to a certain teacher who is always afraid she is going to wear out her heels I, Wendell Ellderts, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to drive slow in town to Vernon Janssen who doesn't seem to know what it means, and my ability to run the projector to anyone who thinks he can run it I, Sharon NSherry' Bevlng, do hereby will and bequeath my ability ll D
