Dramatics Instead of the annual senior play, the students of W.R. H.S. undertook the full-length production One Family Sings, the story of the world-famous Trapp Family Singers who settled in Vermont twenty years ago. The play begins with the arrival of Maria Augusta (Susan Rowe), the gov- erness, who unites the von Trapp family and marries the Baron (John Vigent). The family's devotion to freedom forces them to leave their Austrian home and come to America. They tour this country, giving concerts, until the Baron and Baroness decide they should find a permanent home. Their love of Vermont's foliage and mountains leads them to Stowe where they begin their new life. The von Trapp children were played by grade-schoolers in Act I and by high school students after a five-year lapse in the story. The hard work of Mrs. Spear, our director, and Mrs. Rowe, our musical director, and the contributions of many others were the factors behind the play’s success. STANDING; T. Douse, W.
