GIRLS’ BASKETBALL The 1953-54 basketball season was not as successful as last year's since we lost the first team via graduation. It was considered that the girls did quite well. Yvonne Grenier and Patty Roben were the only girls who had played in league basketball before. The Wells River girls' team started off with a green team and a new coach, Mrs. Weeks. Mrs. Gibson, coach of seasons past, was kind enough to give instruc- tion and advice whenever it was needed. The high school girls played a game with the Alumni on De- cember 29 and it was won by the high school 33-24.
