Sophomore Yea r Election of our class officers opened the Soph- omore year with Jordan Christo, president, Debby Sichol, viceJpresident, Carol McKinstry, secre- tary, and Joe Skarani, treasurer. The Pre-Kick Off Dance opened the football season, but that year We were unable to win the traditional Wells- Bartlett game. Concluding our year . -org was the performance of ' Gilbert and Sullivan's H.M. S. PINAFORE presented by the Glcc Club. Ada Tieri and Carole Dudek distin- 1 -W guished thc class by having leading roles in the oper- etta. Other members of our class sang in the various choruses. Freshman Year To the class of '57 the first week of school resembled the confusion of the national con- ventions. That is, until the mighty seniors introduced us with initiation and laughed heartily at our gullible nature while we recited: On this day of days, while I am 'in a haze, I bow in pain upon the floor, to the mighty class of '54 . After the long hard day of in- itiation, an eager group of Freshmen flocked into the auditorium that night to receive their official wel- come to Mary E. Wells High at the Freshman Party.
