Table Tennis LEISURE Stepper Fencing Christmas Cavalcade While rendering a service to the school, students who work on the staff of the Correlator and Wells World enjoy the breath-taking thrill of meeting the deadline and find an outlet for their creative powers. The Wells World acts as a unifying agency between the educator and the students. The Correlator paints an accurate and true picture of the varied activities carried on at Wells. Participation in intramural sports gives the student who is not an outstanding athlete the opportunity to develop a necessary phase of his personality. The intramurals include baseball, football, basketball, volley ball and ping pong. Such competition fosters a keen sportsrnanlike attitude toe Ward participating in athletics. Finally the excellent facilities afforded by our school library develop an appreciation of one of the best-loved of all leisure activities-reading for enjoyment. 23

Deck Tennis Minstrel Show The PIay's the Thing Student activities at Wells which provide for training in the Worthy use of leisure time can be divided into five classi- ficationsg namely, membership in special interest clubs, vocal and instrumental music groups, Work on publication staffs, participation in intramural sports, and enjoyment of leisure reading in the library. The special interest clubs offer students the opportunity to perfect their knowledge of and interest in their favorite hobbies. A Wide variety of interest is fostered by these clubs, including the Stamp, Knitting, Crocheting, Camera, Archi- tectural, Embroidery, Style and Design, Chess and Checker, Radio and Electric, Games and Puzzles Clubs. The vocal and instrumental music groups train the musi- cally inclined student in one of the most delightful of leisure time pursuits. The vocal choruses contact the community by performing at social functions. The a Capella Choir, Boys Glee Club and Mixed Chorus all have sung at com- munity and church gatherings.
