The Class ol '42 came into Vvells High School with the largest enrollment of any freshman class. They were officially initiated and hecame very green, full-fledged HFrosh. In their sophomore year the Hdumhnessu had worn off somewhat. Even so, as most sophomore years do, it passed uneventlully. Finally Uupper-classdomu was reached loy these aspirants. Vvith the then distant war as inspiration, a Blitzkrieg Brawl was given at the close of the first weelc of school. They gave the Christmas party. In the spring the first Junior Prom since 1937 was given. As a final trihute to the seniors, whose place they would soon occupy, they gave a .lunior-Senior Banquet. Then they hecame seniors. This was their husiest year, crammed with activities lor the seniors and their sponsor, Mr. Leavitt, to enjoy. Hslull day was tops, ol course. and the annual Senior Ball was given as an appropriate end to high school fun. When the doors of Wells High closed behind them for the last time, although they had lcnown trouhle and some had hrealcs, they were all a little sad.
