SENIOR HIGH BASKETBALL The Senior High Basketball team had a disastrous season as far as winning is concerned, winning only 2 of I7 games. However, the team gained the lesson from their experiences, the lesson that sports was intended to give--win if you can, if not, lose graciously. Games should be won in the same manner. Our boys were complimented after each game by the officials on their excellent attitude and sportsmanshipgand, as a coach, 1 compliment them on their undying spirit in face of great odds. The boys never quit and were always giving their best. If winning were the only goal in sports, then in our conference only one team achieved the goal while seven others failed. ln fact, only one team in the entire state would have accomplished the purpose for which sports are played. CHEERLEADERS HGIGH Eddy, Marlene Wynne, Janet Wynecoop JUNlOR HIGH BASKETBALL The Junior High boys had a fine experienced team but were handicapped by lack of height. They won six and lost seven, climaxing the season with a great rally, coming from behind to defeat Rossland Juniors at Roseland. BASEBALL Although we have eleven players from grades 8, 9, IO, and only one player is playing the same position that he played last year, won two and little more beat. The enthusiasm we expect a successful year. TO date, we have lost one. Our defense is excellent and with a improvement in hitting, our team will be hard to coach is very pleased with the fine support and shown by the players. lt is their hustle and taking advantage of the breaks that have gotten them off to their fine start.
