In 1960-61, the F.F.A. had a chapter farmer and greenhand initiation along with a joint meeting and party with the F.H.A. We sent our officers to Officers' Training School at Momence. We attended the Farm Progress Show at Joliet and the International Livestock Exposition in Chicago. We had a team and two public speakers go to the Parliamentary Procedure Contest. We elected two honorary members: Richard Martin and Warren Lockhart. We had a State Farmer Degree winner, Barry Lockhart. Barry alsoreceived the DeKalbAward and Neatest Record Book Award. Leonard Dale received the Lockhart Grain and Feeds Best Feeding Award,and Pat Chaney received the Star Greenhand Award. Jim Wisdom and Deane Hodge were selected to attend the State F.F,A.
