General Science is used as an introduction to all other courses in science. Biology students cringed through the disection of Worms, fish, and frogs as well as studying the origin, develo p- ment, structure, and functions of plants and animals. Chemistry is the study of the chemical changes and properties of matter, while Physics concerns the physical properties. Besides these basic skills such things as vocabulary building, spelling, mathematics, and salesmanship are stressed. However, the Commerce Department is geared to supply the needs of both the future truck farmer, who must keep neat records of his crops and income, and the smoothly efficient secretary to a busy executive.
