CONCERT CHOIR The Concert Choir is made up of eighty voices selected from the senior, junior, and sophomore classes. It is the performing vocal group of the school and is under the direction of Mr. Russell Gregory for the first year. The Choir has participated in the Lakeland Festival, a Christmas Concert, and a Spring Concert. The members are looking forward to participating in Contest this year. Last year the Choir achieved a I, or Superior rating at Columbus. By selling Swiss cheese, the Choir members and Choir Mothers organization earned enough money to purchase fifteen new robes in time for the Christmas program. The Choir is planning a Valentine's dance and a Hootenanny later in the year. Officers QSEATEDQ Pres.--D. Mellick Director--Mr. Gregory Vice Pres.--E. Devereaux Sec.--B. Sugaski Treas.--B. IO6 Linda SALLITATORIAN VALEDICTCRIAN Linda GRADLIATICN I965 N M MORIAM ,ww-F' , , A I 4-v The Senior Class of 1965 proudly gives this year- book to the memory of Gordon David Thornton. Gordy lives on in the hearts of our class as a refreshing, easy going, jolly soul. He had a heart as big as all outdoors. Perhaps that is the reason Gordy was chosen to receive his well -deserved reward at such an early age. We have felt his absence, but at the same time, we have felt his presence, and we always will. H0 I DEDICATIO The Class of 1965 sincerely dedicates its annual to Mr. Homer DeWitt Barbe. We miss seeing his familiar figure in the halls and classrooms. Last year he gracefully retired, ending his forty years of faithful service to W.H.S. and its students. His loyalty to and enthusiasm for his profession have been an inspiration to our school and our community. We thank him for all he has done, and we wish him joy and happiness in his retirement.
