Last year, as the Senior High School braced itself for the annual mass migration of students from the Jun¬ ior High School, it was pleasantly surprised to find an eager, energetic group, containing many potential lead¬ ers, which easily became acclimated to its new educa¬ tional environment. As sophomores, the Class of 1964 elected as their officers: Leo Boyle, President, Edward Giese, Vice-President, Andrea Bertocci, Secretary, and Elizabeth Aldrich, Treasurer; sold class rings; and en¬ thusiastically participated in the Sophomore-Senior Rally. This year, the Class of 1964, now juniors, arrived in a far more mature and confident manner and showed that they really felt themselves to be a part of the school. This change was, no doubt, effected by the fact that they now had the privilege of making the same remarks about the sophomores as had been made about them, a short time ago. Although there were drawbacks to their new prestige, namely, PSAT’s, SAT’s, and Achievement Tests, the juniors lost none of their pep and vivacity. Once again, they participated eagerly in activities and sports and this year took a more active part by serving as associate editors and sub-committee chairmen. Under their new class officers: Edward Doyle, President, David Burtt, Vice-President, Deborah Card, Secretary, and Eleanor May, Treasurer, they organized a highly successful junior rally; collected class dues to fill a depleted treas¬ ury; and ran a candy sale. As a high point of their eventful year, they planned for their Junior Prom. Now as we, the present seniors, anticipate our gradu¬ ation, we see the Class of 1964 also nearing this “thresh¬ old to the future” and we feel confident that they will do as well in the future as they have done in the past. 29
