»i ADMINISTRATION PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE “Around the school in 180 days’ 7 is the appealing theme of your yearbook, recalling to mind the once fantastic thought that anyone could possibly go “around the world in 80 days.” We now live in a world any point on which can be reached in less than a day and a half: a man-made moon can circle the earth in an hour and a half, and a guided missile can leave one continent and spread destruction on any other continent of the world in less than twenty minutes! It will be up to your generation to learn how the mighty forces be¬ hind all these great accomplishments can be controlled for the better¬ ment, rather than the destruction, of mankind. Will you be wise enough and good enough to win the struggle that the adult world of today leaves in your hands? You will succeed in this struggle only if you recognize more clearly than the older generation has ever done that there is a Power outside yourselves without Whose guidance nothing can be accomplished.
