noTionni h an or socitiy Under the sponsorship of Mr. Moulton, Wellesley High School holds active mem¬ bership in the National Honor Society. The choice of pupils is based on qualities of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The purpose of the society is to create enthusiasm in good scholarship. Juniors who are enrolled as provisional members must be in the upper third of their class. Not more than five per cent of the class may be admitted. Seniors also must be in the upper third of their class, with the enrollment limited to fifteen per cent. After the an¬ nouncement of candidates is made, certificates are awarded at a formal ceremony in early spring. Seniors elected in 1947 and confirmed in 1948: William Barber, Anita Cononi, Richard Dalton, Jane Davis, Zoe Keniston, Anne Montali, Louisa Niccoli, Alan Temple.
