1 HE purpose of the LEGENDA is to record four years spent in Welles- ley — a Wellesley that is complete in itself, with its own triumphs, joys, and sorrows. Yet this volume is more than a mere chronicle of the incidents and events that have made up the life of the Class of 1935, for that life is governed by the very spirit of Welles- ley itself. In preparing this LEGENDA we have endeavoured to maintain this spirit. We trust that the reader may feel that we have succeeded.
