CONTENTS MCULTY SENIORS CLASSES MVORITES SPORTS CNERTISING WELEETKA HIGH SCHOOL D E D I C A T I O N 4 This year’s 1980-81 Weleetka Annual is dedicated to a very deserving person — Pauline Kennedy. Pauline Kennedy has been a part of the Weleetka faculty for many years. She taught for four years prior to teaching in Weleetka. She has taught the 3rd grade for 23 years and has been the reading specialist for the last ten years — a total of 37 years teaching. She was honored with the title of County Teacher of the Year in 1971-72. Anyone who has known her realizes that the word “Dedicated fits her well. She is known for her conscientious concern for the betterment of all her pupils. She has put in a lot of extra time and effort to see that her students enjoy learn- ing. For these reasons and many more, we dedicate this year's annual to a beau- tiful and caring person — Pauline Kennedy. We have spent twelve years in school working and studying for two things; graduation and our diploma. Now it's here and it's hard to believe the years have gone by so fast. In a few more days we'll be receiving that diploma, and then we’ll all be leaving these bright and cheerful hallways where day after day we have met friends and stopped and talked to them. We will soon lose all con- tact with each other after we leave. We all say we 'II stay in touch but deep down we know we won’t. We might see that special friend again at a reunion if they show up. It’s sad to lose such good friends but we will all overcome our sorrows and go out into the world and make new friends. Hopefully everyone in the class of 1981 will be very successful through the course of their lives, and we might even make the world a better place to live in with our hopes and dreams.
