2 dedication Because of her perpetual loyalty, friendliness, and aid to all around her, we are extremely proud to dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Violet King. We are sure that we express the thoughts of the entire 3tudent body of W. H. S. as well as many others, Mrs. King, in letting you know that your untiring efforts in their behalf are gratefully appreciated. May we ever be worthy of your confidence in usj The Annual Staff board of education D. A. BRIGGS Vice President 4 FRED SHURLEY Member IVAN GORDON President BOB CARROLL Treasurer HOMER GRIFFIN Clerk superintendent’s message The publication of this 1971 Outlaw highlights the completion of a number of other undertakings of even more profound and far reaching significance. Perhaps, for the seniors, the most reward- ing achievement this year (a culmination of many years of effort) is graduation and receiving the high school diploma. This attainment, like most worthwhile goals, required much time, effort, and preparation. I congratulate you on your achieve- ments to this point in time, and know that your training and ex- perience in these endeavors will be beneficial in promoting your goals in future years. I commend to you the pursuit of your most worthy ambitions and the knowl- edge that the heights are not easily attained. This knowledge will dissuade some from realizing the fullness of their potential, while for others it will be the force that impels them far be- yond the common dream. Sincerely, s Lewis B. Kennedy Superintendent principals the 1971 annual staff Ronald Allred, Beth Johnson, Beth Magness, Keith Magness, Jr., Willie Loggins, Mona Barnett, Debbie Brown. Rvtgw uL The publication of this annual has been a challenge to us. It has requirec the co-ODeration of our sponsor, staff, students, and those who have so gener- ously contributed their surroort through advertisements. Our thanks go to every- one who has helped us.
