The privilege of serving as your school leader during this school year has been deeply appreciated. The chal- lenge has been tremendous! To the Senior, nearing graduation. I would say that you are about to join with one of the greatest forces for change in all of nature—The Mature, Adult Human Mind. The changes wrought by mankind might keep some of our founding fathers from recognizing this land of ours-- (if they should return) - Changes brought about by forces in no way associated with man would probably be negligible. We, then, will be responsible for some change here. Let us hope that someone will be a little better, in one way or another, because of you and me, and thereby we may change this to a better place as we pass by. Lewis B. Kennedy Superintendent of Schools 7

HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL The purpose of schools is that teachers teach and students learn. Fortunately we have superior teachers in all areas. The accomplishments of our students is proof that they learn well. My hope is that we continue this tradition. Will you do your part? DAVID PUCKETT High School Principal As early as 500 B.C., the Greeks realized that for democracy to be successful every citizen must be educated. The purpose of this education was a healthy mind and a healthy body. 24 centuries later we are trying to achieve the same end by the same means. Our success depends upon the realization of the future generation of the responsibilities which they will inherit. Your education should bring awareness of. and prepare you for this responsibility. The means have been provided; the end shall be determined by your efforts. TERRY ALLEN Junior High Principal JUNIOR HIGH PRINCIPAL
