SHARON KENNEDY was named the outstanding twirler of all competition in this contest and was presented with a silver baton. Also, all four placed in the first div- ision in the Northeastern Regional Twirling Contest at Bartlesville in November, I960. In the spring of I960 and in the spring of 1961, all of them placed in the first div- ision in the state contest in Pawnee. These twilers have appeared on many pro- grams as soloists and as teams. The Weleetka marching band participated in the annual Labor Day Parade in Henryetta, Oklahoma, in September. They marched in the East Central State College Homecoming Parade at Ada, Oklahoma, in October. At the Northeastern Regional Marching Contest held in Bartlesville in November, I960, the band received a first division rating. The marching band performed at half-time period of each of the football games. The concert band presented a spring concert and participated in the District and State contests in the spring of 1961. THESE BOYS WERE CHOSEN BY THE COACHES IN THE CONFERENCE AS MEMBERS OF THE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM: J. C.
