Parents and citizens must join the teaching profession in thwarting inroads against public education attacks. All positions in the pub- lic schools must be manned only by those who sup- port the American way of life. The emphasis upon providing equal opportunity for all children, re- gardless of race, religion, economic status of fam- ily or location of homes, must be kept. This is the educational birthright of our youth. It is my hope that you graduates leave us with a thorough understanding of the Democratic Principles upon which our education is based.
