it wa, s l The Sensor Play was presented on Frnday March 'I3 nn the F H S audntornum to a packed house The play Stage Door wrutten by George S Kauf man and Edna Ferber combined tragedy and comedy to create an entertalmng evemng for the many who attended The story dealt wnth the lufe of strugglmg actresses m a boardung house In New York Cnty telling of their successes failures hopes and dreams As the theme unfolds one gurl goes to Hollywood another commuts sulclde one goes wrong and one follows her udeals to become an actress on the stage Not everyone ln the play was of the female specues of course The mam male characters consisted of a play wrlght who IS lured to Hollywood after wrstlng a successful play and the producer who gave up his movne connectlons to dlrect a Broadway show The cast of over thnrty people was ably durected by Mr Charles Klelnpeter who worked afternoon and night for weeks prnor to the performance The cast was larger than any seen nn the plays nn recent years Not only the actors are to be commended for theur flne work Credut as certaunly to be gnven to the stage crew Inghtung staff and makeup commxttee who made It possuble for the play to run smoothly 58 MR KLEINPETER
