National Manor Society On March 2, 1951 sixteen of our senior girls were inducted into the second Farmingdale Chapter of the National Honor Society. In order to become a member of the National Honor Society, a stu- dent must be a senior in good standing, carrying enough credits to graduate in June. He must also have a scholastic average of 85% and be rated on leadership, service, and character by the faculty. The girls selected this year were: Marion Vogel, Francis Cole, Martha Gray, Edith Titterton, Nancy Allard, Doris Luttge, Alice Sennet, Mae Eberling, Lorraine Hummel, Anne Barton, Lois Walton, Jeanne Comer, Eleanor Sause, Agnes Romanelli, Barbara Becker, and Ann Denton. The pictures of the above seniors will be designated in this yearbook by the sketch of a starfish in the lower left corner of their pictures. 22
