Though the Wolverines did not have too successful a season, the team always displayed pep, spirit, determination, and co-opera- tion. The Wolverines started off the season with wins over Cambridge and Fruitland. Their only con- ference win was over Nyssa with a score 'of 69-63. The team chose as their captain, Eddie Hoffer, who played the position of forward. Much of the rebounding for the team came from its center, Bill Eisenbarth. Scrappy Roger Peterson, who played guard, was one of the main defen- sive players on the team. The team was strongly helped by Roger Gallagher, who was third high scorer in the conference. Jay Doyle, who was second high scorer for the team, was also among the high point scorers in the conference. The team was helped greatly by Dick Nelson, Lynn Youngberg, Les Griffith, Chuck Shepherd, Marc Anderson, and Les Lowe. Later in the season Lawrence Ott was moved up from the Frosh-Soph team. Duke Duclos, head varsity basketball coach, was assisted by Tom Falash, frosh-soph coach. - ,Q W x G ' s 'IV Q Q' Front row: G. Gage, R. Terashima, D. N I G. H eson, oashi, J. Doyle. Second row: L.
