3 Spring Athletics OR the fourth year the XYeiser High track men retained the Snake River Yalley Conference cup. but only by a narrow margin. The score ended with Xl'eiser 59 and Payette 55. Payette was a little more successful in the Sub-District meet, coming out victorious. In the Inter-Class meet, the juniors came out victorious. Much new talent and aluility was brought out in this meet. Those going to the lnter-District meet at flooding were llernard Hansen and Marvin Odell. llernard classified for the State meet at lloise, and came out first. Several records were broken, including the mile flYhite, Payettel, the javelin throw lXYishart, lleiserl, the high hurdles fOclell, XYeiserl, the 440- yard dash fkfcliinney, Payettel, and the 220-yard dash was tied hy Hansen of XYeiser. .-X new race, the Medley Relay. was run for the first time this year.
