.gy Way of .gnttoafuction It is altogether proper as well as customary that we should begin our year book with the usual group of introductory Words. These Words serve, in many instances, merely as literature which is read by a few kind adults, but which is, on the Whole, vaguely glanced at while the student energetically turns the pages to glimpse at likenesses of familiar faces. Therefore, it is only fitting that We do away with customary phrases and let the year book speak for itself. Turn on! Observe! A nd let memories of your high school days come into existence. Think of your school, its clubs, classes and dances, its faculty and students, and everything which is concerned with it. If this should be brought about, We the Class of '46, will have felt that this book has expressed our ideas far better than such meaningless Words can ever hope to do.

pedzcatlon They call it the atomic age-an age bubbling over with startling, wondrous, even dangerous things. And they continue through this age to mock the' modern youth, and to laugh at his shabby rolled-up dungarees, his admiration for Grable and Sinatra and chocolate nut sundaes, his strange languages and dances, and his laugh-provoking love affairs. But they are wrong, for beneath this carefree appearance, often lies a heart so mature and so aware of tomorrow's responsibility that he shall soon step into, that it would shame many an adult to know. It is to these outwardly irresponsible girls and boys of this age that we so gratefully dedicate our book, with sincere hope that tomorrow they will be successful in their attempts to make this a better world in which to live.
