Things We Remember SEPTEMBER: NOVEMBER: We put our swimming suits away, As off to school we go today. Today's the day to transfer from Your toughest class to an easier one. Our fire drill is sure to be, Without one single casualty. The football season starts off grand: We beat Toronto as we had planned. The Republicans and Democrats have one tieg The Progressives and Yankees of old Weir High. The Weir Red Riders fought a good game, But the Massillon Tigers they couldn't tame. We take our seat in assembly hall, For the Student Council induction call. Thousands come from Vale and hill, To see our team 'beat Steubenville. OCTOBER : A fine Shakespearean play we see, With an actor full of energy. A Wellsburg victory adds to our fameg Football is a wonderful game. We all hope that the camera doesn't breakg While the pictures for 'the Weirite, photog- raphers take. All those that are camera-shy, get out of sight! For the Weir High Photography Club meets to- night. We show Linsly that our team Is very definitely on the beam! We have unpleasant recollections Of former grade card home inspections. Steubenville Central turns on the heat And we suffer a terrible football defeat. Old members with paddles and great anticipa- tion g 'Can't wait 'til tonight and G. A. A. initiation. Follansbee High School meets its fate, The score of the game was 12-48. The problem of tonight's forum will be, Our town's Juvenile Delinquency. Fourteen members take their seats As the National Honor Society meets. Scenes quite familiar to you and to me, As the Assignment Accomplished film we see. We're off to see Pitt and Ohio State playg For today is our town's Doc Daugherty Day. Tonight the Photography 'Club will hear The photo experiences of Mr. Greer. Where there's a will, there is a wayg Why, we beat Parkersburg today! Back to school after Thanksgiving vacation, And the Home Ec. classes have a little celebra- tion. Nedgi and Dominic, to the pleasure of all, Graciously reign over the G. A. A. ball. DECEMBER: Senor, tonight is your biggest chance To take your Senorita to the Spanish Dance. To all who heard it, theconcert was grandg It's a pleasure to listen to our school band. We listen with awe and admiration, To a Syrian lyceum presentation. Ginny and the G. R.'s play Santa Claus Aft a Christmas party for a worthy cause. Sparky has taken 'decorating in her hand And now that they're finished, the halls look grand. Yorkville-at eight o'clock we greet them, And by nine o'clocik we find we beat them. Bow your headsg Let us prayg As we hold Christmas Chapel today.
