edzm tion All efforts in publishing this year's Weiriie were made to preserve the memory of Weir High's 1942-1943 school activities for the faculty, students, and alumni members that are, or will be, in our country's ser- vice. It is to them, therefore, that We dedicate this year's publication. We hope that it will be cherished and remembered by all who have passed through the portals of this school and that in future years it may serve to revive memories of high school days for this year's student body. In making this dedication we feel sure that it will be accepted and approved by all Weir High students. As the world looks today, every student will, at some time in the near future, be serving his country either abroad or at home. With this in mind, we gladly make our dedi- cation to our future heroes in all corners of the earth. Old Glory

lulm C. Grrrr Secretary for Weir High School since 1938, Mrs. Orrin Hanlin has completed five years of splendid service. She graduated in the class of '38 from Weir High School with an outstanding scholastic record. Known to many as Zelda , she serves students and faculty alike, cheerfully carrying out her numerous duties in expert fashion. Upon graduation from Dennison Univer- sity, Mr. Greer became a classroom teacher and thus acquired the background necessary to understand student problems. He then be- came principal of the junior High School and is now completing his third year as principal of Weir High School. He has won the friendship of the student body by his cordial manner, patience, and wise, understanding viewpoint in scholastic matters. For pleasure and relaxation in his leisure hours Mr. Greer turns his talents to photogra- phy. He develops and prints his own films and is to be thanked for many of the pictures in this year's Wciriie. Much credit for com- pletion of the Wfeiriff' rightly goes to Mr. Greer. Countless details in connection with the Weirifc' have been cared for by him. Extremely interested in the welfare of the student body and untiring in his efforts in the cause of education, Mr. Greer is a principal of which Weir High may be justly proud. Mrs. Orrin Hunlin
